Contributing Writers: Hennesy Kev and Son of the 215
Yo, check it out! Philly Freeway’s Sold Out 20th-anniversary celebration was straight-up lit, no cap! Hennesey Kev and Son of the 215 both agree that it was one for the books. Beanie Sigel and Oschino even hugged it out on stage, showing love and unity for the city. And when Just Blaze and Bink hit the stage together for the first time since the Roc-A-Fella days, the crowd went wild.
Freeway is the real deal; he knows how to bring the whole city together. That’s why they call him the people’s champ, cuz he’s got love and respect from everyone.
#philadelphiafreeway was in full display that night, from the music to the energy and the heavy hitters that came out to show love and support. What a true salute to 20 years in the game. Said Hennesy Kev
“Epic!!! Seeing my Big bro get his flowers, I got to perform with him and the rest of State prop, Jadakiss, and more!! The whole Philly came out!! A Night that will always be remembered #FreedomThinkersAcademy ” ~ said Son of the 215
Urban X-pressions 20 years ago, we had the honor of being a part of the rise of Philadelphia Freeway and State Property, and we were thrilled to have a backstage pass to all the behind-the-scenes video shoots, performances, and more. It was incredible to witness the 20th Anniversary of Philadelphia Freeway. It was a historical event, and I’m excited to share my firsthand account.
The night was full of non-stop love, with an amazing lineup of performers taking the stage to celebrate Freeway’s 20-year anniversary. The crowd was buzzing with excitement, and the energy in the room was electric.
It was dope to see Suzann Christine take the stage as the only female performer of the night. She absolutely killed it, delivering a high-energy performance that left the crowd cheering for more.
And then, the moment we had all been waiting for – Mina Say What brought out Freeway himself, along with the entire State Property crew. It was an incredible sight to see – Beanie Sigel, Freeway, Peedi Crakk, Oschino Vasquez, and Omillio Sparks all on stage together, bringing down the house.
But the surprises didn’t stop there – the duo Young Gunz (Young Chris and Neef Buck) also took the stage, and the crowd went wild. It was clear that everyone in attendance was feeling the love and appreciation for Freeway and State Property, and the energy in the room was infectious.
As the night went on, more and more of the Philly elite came through, including Gillie, Dutchie Man, Ms Jade, Mike Knox, Danny Garcia, his sisters, SiAngie Twins, Jakk Frost, and Simon “One Punch” Carr, along with countless others.
Sold out with lots of love filling the building. it was an incredible night, and Urban X-pressions NewsMag was honored to be a part of it. The 20th Anniversary of Philadelphia Freeway was a celebration of not only Freeway’s incredible talent and legacy but also of the entire State Property crew and the many other performers who came out to show their support.
Congratulations to Freeway and everyone involved in making this event such a huge success – we can’t wait to see what the next 20 years will bring
